We are a non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting local, aspiring artists through charity art shows that benefit well established, reputable, nationally recognized and local charities that have a proven track record of transparency and fiscal excellence.
Why Art Benefits?
We see art as a visual expression of emotion that touches the mind, soul and heart. We believe it is important to celebrate creativity and to support and promote our art community's rising stars.
When most people think of a charity art show, the word auction comes to mind. The participating artists often pay a fee and donate a work of art, which is auctioned to raise funds for the charity. Our approach is to focus first on the artists and their success. We do not require an artist participation fee and the artists receive all revenue from the sale of their own individual work. Each show will feature a collaboration piece. Art Benefits supplies the medium and theme - the artists do the rest. By hosting its art shows, Art Benefits hopes to attract art patrons interested in purchasing original works of art from talented, up and coming, local artists. Each show will benefit a selected charity. We will solicit donations of services and funds required to cover event expenses and sell admission tickets to each art exhibition. Revenue from ticket sales minus expenses will be donated to that show's sponsored charity.
Vision for the future.
We will start with two charity events per year and grow Art Benefits to continue to donate to established charities as well as create a scholarship fund for art students. We will look for further opportunities to serve the art community and to nourish the local community through art.
